There must be a reason

...mustn't there? It is so disappointing otherwise. Here we are, rolling around at 28,500 mps and trying to keep our feet firmly planted on the ground.
So, we reach for the truth. And reach. And reach.
Here are some things I have found to be true for me.

• I have not been able to control the world.
  
• No one else I have observed can do so, although many try and a few claim to succeed.
• The pain I experience is directly proportional to the pleasure I seek.
• Reality is experiential. Also experimental. Sometimes existential.
• Don't try to say you were not warned.
